Gingerbread Houses

Last December, the kids were shuttled to a friend's home where they created these fun gingerbread houses.  Friend Matt mixed, chilled, rolled, measured, cutout, and baked these little treasures.  It was then up to the kids to build their house and decorate it at whim, using assorted candy pieces, pretzels, gumdrops, and more.
Guided by their imaginations and desire to create, they crafted fairyland houses!  Each one colorful and unique.  They are eagerly anticipating, hoping, that there will be another gingerbread decorating adventure this year.

If there is another gingerbread house day, can I come too? What fun this looks to be. It would indeed be a lovely tradition each year.

We're firing up the Christmas tunes and will be decorating houses again this year. The gingerbread has been mixed, chilled, rolled, cut, baked and is awaiting assembly by little elves, expected to arrive around noon. We'll have pizza and frosting for lunch, plus any little candies that can be spirited away during the creation process. Festive fun. Who could ask for more?

Maybe we'll take some photos and post them here.
