Cosy Cupboard Tea Room, Convent Station, NJ

Our final stop on the Traveling Herb Seminar was a visit to the Cosy Cupboard Tea Room where we were treated to the Avon Lea evening tea service, with tea and delicacies provided by waitstaff in black and white garb.  A variety of teas were offered throughout the evening, including English Breakfast, Cherry Sencha green tea, a herbal blend, and decaffeinated Ginger Peach.
Royal Albert Old Country Roses china graced the table accented with beautiful gold flatware.  Very festive and royal indeed.
A generous salad with assorted toppings and a balsamic vinaigrette was presented as the first course.

Individual sandwich plates included a variety of petite sandwiches: egg salad, chicken salad, ham and cheese, cucumber with herbed cream cheese, and a small shrimp salad.  All very fresh and tasty.

A choice of scones was offered, butter or poppy seed accompanied by a generous portion of cream and jelly.

Dessert was a slice of glazed pound cake with a fruit drizzle alongside mixed berries.  Owner James Howard proudly states that the Cosy Cupboard Tea Room is  Morris County's premier destination tea room.  We were pleased to be able to experience this tea room.

Love seeing this special tea. It is beautiful. That first picture is just perfect with the waiter and Susanna's joy at being served tea. Loved it.

Looks like another fun tea room to visit--and why do I always seem to read such yummy posts at lunchtime?

It all looks so lovely and the food looks tasty. I would love to criss-cross this nation stopping at all the tea shops along the way.
