As we were leaving
The Polly Tea Rooms, we spotted this promotion in the window. A little Take Away Picnic Tea complete with scones, clotted cream, and a nice variety of tea sandwiches sounds like fun! If we had spotted it earlier, we might have ordered one 'to go'. Had to lookup the word 'tiffin'. It's a mid-day meal or snacks.

I love this idea sooooo much. I have a tiffin, which is a lunch box with several layers from India. I have used it for my own personal tea box.
What a lovely idea! Now I have heard of Tiffin glass (fancy stuff), so I wonder if there is any connection there. Hmm …
