Boston Weekend Getaway

We spent a glorious fall weekend in the Boston area, a gathering of Peplau cousins and their families traveling from NY, NH, CA, and PA.  Between the weather and the company, it couldn't have been more beautiful or more memorable.  Our tour included a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts, Faneuil Hall, The Christian Science Church and the Maparium and Paul Revere's home, plus a behind the scenes tour of Fenway Park.
Around Boston, we also visited Louisa May Alcott's home (think Little Women),
Old North Church,  Old North Bridge and the old Mill plus a visit to John F. Kennedy's homestead and also to his Presidential library. Evening entertainment included the show Shear Madness, a comedic 'who dunnit' where the audience interacts with the actors and eventually helps determine how the show ends.
We enjoyed lots of good food and laughter from lunch at a bowling alley to Afternoon Tea at the Langham Hotel and Sunday dinner at an historic country inn since it was established early on in the planning stages that there would be no cooking at our 'home base', a modest little home in Arlington, MA rented through Air BnB.

I do love this area of Massachusetts. How fun to visit there. We once took a weeks vacation in this area and I have many fond memories.
