Signs, Signs

Everywhere Signs..... these are just a few of the ornate signs suspended from buildings in Germany. They represent hotels, guest houses, and the apothecary. They certainly add a bit of character and charm to the community, expressing their purpose without excessive lighting, plastic, or blinking neon words. Simple elegance.

  1. Thanks for sharing your tea and travel adventures. It's been a few years since I visited Germany; forgotten how graceful the signage and window decorations. It seems that Europeans never miss an opportunity to garden even if the only space they have is a little window box. Especially enjoyed the bread masks photo. How unique. Are they meant to be eaten or just for decoration? Are they part of a special seasonal celebration? Other than the snowballs did you eat any fabulous desserts/chocolate confections?

    Cheers,
