We also enjoyed a Champagne Tea at The Ritz. Elegance. Sheer elegance. Gold, glamour, glitz. The Ritz. Even the bathroom warranted photographs. Here, the tea tray, note the champagne glass, and the silver milk pitcher and tea strainer too!
Check out this gorgeous selection of desserts on the top tier. Fabulous!
Afternoon Tea at the Lanesborough Hotel, yummy. Excellent variety of sandwiches on the bottom tier, tiny tea breads in the middle, desserts on the top.Once we devoured all of that, a separate plate of scones and toasted tea cakes was brought out to the table with clotted cream, lemon curd and strawberry jam. Delicate piano music accompanied this delightful tea.
Beautiful artistry. Wonderful memories.
We, too, took tea at the Ritz -- but we didn't do the champagne tea and that tea was smashing!
ReplyDeleteWe also enjoyed tea at the Pump House in Bath --elegant as well!
But what we loved most were the cream teas in the little tea rooms in the countryside.
Great memories you provided and I loved your pictures!
These are tea-lightful memories of our special trip. Thanks for being the best roommate ever!

ReplyDeleteYes Bernideen ~ it was with Denise, and her www.TeainLondon.com trip. She has one scheduled for September this year, I see.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the teas you enjoyed in London. Those tiny tea breads are so cute. I love tea breads, but don't usually make them for tea. I might have to re-consider.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to go! It will come and go quickly! See you soon in Pittsburgh?
