This little European Geranium has naturalized itself here in the Americas. It is a sweet lacy leafed plant that has small pink flowers most of the summer. It self sows into crooks, cracks and nooks always popping up in an unlikely spot. It is not a sweet smelling plant but it is ooh so pretty, and grown mainly as an ornamental plant now. It does have a long history of medicinal uses and about as many theories as who "Robert" was!

I have these - gifted to me by a friend when I moved to my new house.
They are absolutely wonderful. I always called them minature geraniums. After 2 years they form a dome shape and flower all summer. They are my ultimate favorite and each year I grow/root more for my friends.
Thank you for giving them a name. My husband's name is Robert.. too funny.
I do see this often and always say it looks like geranium, but doesn't smell like it. Good to know I am on the right track.
