The Queen's Tea

This past Sunday we celebrated the Queen's birthday with a very special celebration. An annual event, we attempt to create a menu 'fit for a Queen', and yet something different from the previous year. (Click on the photo to enlarge the collage.)
Our celebratory menu included:
  • Walnut Date cheese Ball & Crackers
  • Ginger Glazed Fresh Fruit
  • Chicken Salad in Tart Shells
  • Radish Cucumber & Basil Rounds
  • Peach & Brie Crostini
  • Ham & Cheese Domino Sandwich
  • Rose Petal Sandwich
  • Gingered Cream Cheese Grapes
  • Kensington Palace Scones
  • Apricot Cream Scones
  • True Devon Cream, Mock Clotted Cream
  • Apricot Preserves, Lemon Curd
  • Strawberry Cookies
  • Miniature Dundee Cakes
  • Fudgelicious Brownie
  • Prince of Wales Tea
  • Long Live the Queen! Oolong flavored Champagne

  5. What a wonderful tradition! I love it. Might have to come up with something similar. My sister, daughters and I were at the Queen Mary Tea Room in Seattle last Sunday. That was fit for a queen too. Have a wonderful day, I hopped over from Gracious Hospitality and I'm glad I did :0)

  7. The Queen's Tea was fabulous -as usual.
    Thanks for creating such a special occasion. It has become an annual event for my mother,aunt sister , cousins and I. The ambience is second to none. I highly recommend the taking a group of friends to the Queen's Tea.
