Taking Tea
How do you enjoy your tea? Steeped loose in a teapot to savor and sip all day with your delicate teacup complete with serving tray. Or do you grab a large mug to have your tea at the ready? Loose or teabags? or both? On the go or leisurly in the breakfast nook? watching tv, chatting with friends or while reading a book? So many ways to enjoy this simple yet complex beverage.
Lovely blue willow tea time!
ReplyDeleteLovely tea vignette! I just love blue and white! I'll take tea any way it's available! Lol!

I either use a tea bag in the teapot, or loose tea in an infuser (tea ball) in the teapot. I would never throw loose tea directly in the teapot, because I need a way to take the tea out after it steeps, before it gets too strong. If I'm by myself, tea and a good book are a perfect combination. But I'd rather have my best friend or one of my sisters sip tea with me.
ReplyDeleteMy morning routine is to drink Harney's Queen Catherine tea in an English Bone China mug while I sit at the computer checking emails and blogs. I make my morning mug using their loose leaf tea in a sachet.
ReplyDeleteIn the morning it is a whole small teapot with a wire filter to steep the tea and remove the loose tea, sipped in a teacup with saucer. Sometimes in the afternoon it might be a resteep or a teabag in a mug.
ReplyDeleteI really go back and forth on prep methods depending on the day and mood, but I must say it always *feels* more enjoyable when it's loose leaf tea, brewed in a slow, relaxing manner!
