Another Tea Time Treasure

Another family friend gifted this set of tea themed Pfaltzgraff tiles to me the other week. What a fun surprise! The original company is thought to have originated in York County, PA in the early 1800's. The soft blues and greens of these tiles, and the dimensional teapots are quite charming. The tile in the forefront is marked Pfaltzgraff, copyright USA (stamped and imprinted) while the tile with the green edging is stamped Pfaltzgraff, designed in the USA, Garden Trellis, Made in China.

Aren't they a fun addition to the evolving tea themed collection? Frequently guests to the tea room ask how I acquire all my treasures... between family and friends, the collection grows!
A special thank you to DK & RK.

Those are so lovely! I haven't seen anything like them before. I have some of that dishware, but it is not delicate or anything like them. Enjoy them!

The tiles are nice, amazing where one can find a tea theme.

I was wondering if you have read the fun gardening/detective books by Susan W Albert (China Bayles series). I am new to your blog, but thought of you might love them as I do.

I have fond memories of the Pfaltzgraff outlett store in Oklahoma from my childhood. We'd make a pilgimage to OK to visit family friends in the sumemrtime, and this was always a highlight.

I used to have a set of dishes to match the lower tile in your photo. The name escapes me. Anyway, Although I loved them, I passed that set of dishes on to the #2 daughter.
