The sandwiches include cucumber and dill rounds, domino sandwiches with ham and pepper jack cheese, sliced chicken with basil pesto mayonnaise, and sweet and savory cheddar on pumpernickel. Scones, of course, fresh from the oven. And a top tier of assorted little desserts, to include a mini cream pie topped with fresh fruit, lemon triangles, and petite teapot cookies. So, pour yourself a pot of tea, sit down, relax, and savor this calorie-free specialty tea to celebrate National Afternoon Tea Week!

Thanks for the reminder about National Afternoon Tea week...I'd forgotten in the whirl of prep for guests. Great occasion I can get behind. I'll drink to that...with a cuppa and a a piece of lemon streusel tea bread in the sunroom this afternoon!

Thanks for the informative post. I wasn't aware a National Afternoon Tea Week existed. Love the looks of the tea tray you've prepared! I did my part to celebrate Afternoon Tea Week. I had tea at the Cotswold Cottage at Greenfield Village today. Will be blogging about it soon.
Not fair to tempt us with your delicious treats! I have to find a way to come for tea!
YUMMY! Angelica looks like an angel!! (SMILES)
Yikes, I had no idea! Thanks for the alert. This is going on my (teapot!) calendar for next year!
