According to lore, should you find a tea leaf floating in the cup it signifies that a stranger is coming into your life. If it's a long leaf it will be a tall person, conversely if it's a short leaf it will be a short person.

How fun! I hadn't heard this. Just yesterday I found a short tea leaf in my tea. Now I will be looking for that short person.
That is a great folklore! I had not heard of that. That may explain my home always having pop in visitors!
In my life it just signifies that I need to go look for a new tea strainer, ha!
