The Mid-Atlantic Tea Business Association recently held their October meeting at The Orchard Tea Room in Thornton, PA. MATBA member and Tea Room owner, Karen Donnelly was our host for the day. She skillfully prepared assorted pots of properly brewed tea per each members request. Just look at that collection of gorgeous tea pots!
Tea business entrepreneurs journeyed from MD-NJ-PA to attend this quarterly meeting. The morning reception allows a chance for members to arrive at staggered times, and savor a cup of tea upon arrival.
A nice assortment of pastries, bagels and flavorful toppings accompanied by a beautiful bowl of fresh fruit started the day long seminar perfectly.
The day included a program on Matcha presented by MATBA member Drew Hanson. A tea tasting of five unique matcha teas (powdered green tea) was on tap along with a variety of matcha treats. More on that tomorrow!

The tables looked just beautiful!
Looks like a lot of effort was put into this gathering! And those rose napkins ... how charming! I do believe that's my all-time favorite napkin fold.
The tearoom proprietor set a beautiful table. Love the pink napkin rose. The fresh fruit and pastries were the perfect way to start the meeting.
