A few weeks ago, we traveled to the Outer Banks where we had reservations for a week long family vacation. But first, we stopped in Occoquan, VA to enjoy afternoon tea at the Pink Bicycle Tea Room . Located in a quaint community, we followed the sign inside.
Pink bicycles. Didn't we all have one at some time or another?
Pink Lemonade in a froggie tea pot for the lad. Look how concentrated he is pouring that lemonade. Did you happen to catch his expression in the first photo? Tea rooms aren't necessarily his 'thing', but he plays along, particularly if lemonade is involved. We selected the Queen's Tea, a 3-course Victorian treat which included a choice of soup or salad. The salad was fresh, colorful, and delicious.
The scone was warm and yummy.
Followed by the three tiered tea tray laden with assorted sandwiches and desserts.
It was a great start to the vacation!

I really enjoyed that tea room too!!
Love, love this name! Look fun.
I found this tea room listed prior to our trip to VA in June, but it wasn't near where we would be. Seeing your family's visit is the next best thing to my family being there!!
I love the name of this tea room!
Hi...yeah, I think the name is adorable, wondering where they came up with that?? I got a kick out of your nephew's pictures!! And your niece is getting so grown up!! I also smiled when I saw how prettily you placed your scone and sweets on your plate...flower included!! (SMILES). Looks like a great time! Donna
