Twelve Cups of Christmas

Just a peek at part of the collection of Christmas tea cups that are put into service during the holiday season. Red and green, holly leaves and poinsettia, and an occasional Christmas tree seem to be the popular motif for these English bone china tea cups.

The newest tea cup to be added to the collection is shown below. A souvenir from our summer vacation to Victoria, BC, this pretty 'December' tea cup is adorned with poinsettia and Christmas greens. Discovered in the gift shop of The Butchart Gardens, the tea cup is fine bone china, designed in England.

I love your collection. The Butchart Gardens cup is so pretty. I might have to look for one the next time I visit there.
