A variety of blooming teas were offered in pretty clear pots so you could watch the leaves unfurl. In addition, a bowl of fresh berries, homemade sweet potato pie, and warm muffins and biscuits were offered, accompanied with a large bowl of cream. It was a fun morning, a great way to start the new year!
An informative sampling focused on herbs and tea with an occasional sprinkling of fairy dust and a glimpse into family activities too. The contributions to this blog are the combined efforts of the sisters of The Rosemary House and Sweet Remembrances.

Taking Tea in the New Year!
A special tea event was offered on the first day of the New Year at "Miss Jade's Tea Room" in Carlisle, PA, and since we had no other obligations, we jumped at the opportunity to enjoy a morning outing. This 'by appointment' only tea room is tucked in the back room of a gift shop that specializes in dolls, and includes a doll hospital.

Where's Nancy?
A great beginning!
That does look like a lovely outing and nice way to start the New Year. I really like your unique new hand crafted teapot.
Happy new year
What a perfect way to start the year.
I've always heard the superstition that what you're doing New Year's Day, you'll be doing all year long. THIS would be fun to do all year long for sure!
