Shannon Falls, Sea to Sky Gondola, BC,Canada

Shannon Falls in Squamish, British Columbia is the third highest falls in BC.  It is just a short hike up from the highway, making it an easily accessible adventure.

Legend has it that a two headed sea serpent formed the falls as it repeatedly moved back and forth up and down the mountainside gradually carving out the path for this beautiful waterfall.

From Shannon Falls, we headed up the road a short jaunt to the Sea to Sky Gondola adventure. This 10 minute ride takes you 885 meters above sea level and offers gorgeous views of Howe Sound, the coastal forest, and snow capped mountains.

There were a variety of trails to walk and hike at the top.  All the ones we choose were marked "Easy/Family". The Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge is the start of one of the walking trails.
