Fairy Fun!

Talented Author and Fairy Crafter, Linda Haas was here at The Rosemary House for an evening of Fairy Crafting Fun.

She has written a book the Seven Gypsy Fairies of Garden Harmony. Each Fairy has a purpose within the garden.  Seed saving, watering, harvesting, etc.
She originally found 7 neglected dolls in a store, similar to the basket full shown here. Giving each one their own personality and glamorous look, she made new outfits for them, spruced up their hair, and crafted wooden block stands, transforming them into creative and unique garden fairies.
Find more of Linda's work at Tree Star Hollow.

She has the heart of whimsy and child like wonder. I love finding that in a grown woman. Those dolls are not getting any younger, so turning them into fairies gives them new life.

OK, now I know what to do with some of those old Happy Meal Madame Alexander dolls I'd been saving!

What a fun way to repurpose old storybook dolls from the 1930's, 40's and 50's. I had some when I was a little girl, but sold them in a garage sale. Wish I had them back now!
